Kochi: A 38-year-old man died on Wednesday in Perumbavoor after a car rammed into a parked lorry. The deceased has been identified as Jineesh (38), a resident of Kottakkal in Malappuram.
The accident took place at Mannoor on the Muvattupuzha-Perumbavoor road. Four people, including a child, were in the car.
The locals and police rushed Jineesh and others in the car to the hospital. But the doctors declared Jineesh dead on arrival at the hospital. The car that met with the accident was destroyed completely.
All passengers in the car are residents of Malappuram. It is assumed that the car met with the accident as the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
