Vypin: Anandan, a 42-year-old man, has been arrested for attempting to molest a woman whom he offered a lift on his bike. The incident occurred when the victim was looking for a job at LNG Vypin.
Anandan, who is a habitual offender, had previously been arrested for similar cases and was out on bail at the time of the incident.
Anandan persuaded the victim to get on his bike, promising to help her secure a job at LNG Vypin. However, he took her to an isolated place. The victim, sensing danger, managed to jump off the bike, but sustained injuries.
The police had earlier submitted a report to the court to cancel Anandan's bail for unleashing violent attacks on women. He had two similar cases registered against him in the Narakkal police station for outraging the modesty of women.
A police team led by Narrakal station officer Rajan K. Aramana arrested Anandan.
