Kanhangad: Hosdurg police arrested a man for giving beer to his 8-year-old daughter. A 65-year-old Kanhangad native was arrested and remanded by the Hosdurg Judicial Magistrate (I) court.
The child was given beer in her house and after drinking it, she experienced uneasiness and breathing problems. She was rushed to the district hospital. Based on a complaint filed by the relatives, the Hosdurg police recorded the statement of the child and later arrested her father.
A case was booked under IPC 328, section 75, 77 of the child protection act.
