Rahul and Raveendran
Meenangadi: Wayanad district sessions court sentenced a man and his son to seven years imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 35,000.
Krishnagiri native Raveendran (59) and his son 26-year-old Rahul were convicted in the case for attempting to murder the complainant with a traffic cone.
The incident pertaining to the case happened in 2018. The convicts pushed the complainant from his bike and beat him with a traffic cone placed on the roadside following a duel due to personal vendetta.
Rahul was the first accused in the case. He was also charged in another case for attacking cops at Meenangadi police station and impeding their duty during vehicle inspection.
