Mammootty intervenes to find temporary solution to water scarcity in Alappuzha

Alappuzha: Actor Mammootty extended another helping hand to the families facing shortage of drinking water scarcity in Alappuzha on Friday. His charitable trust Care and Share arranged water after Mathrubhumi News reported the plight of the people. Thrissur-based CP Trust also cooperated.

People in Alappuzha have been suffering from water scarcity for the past 12 days. The trust is planning to distribute water till the issue of regular service is resolved.

Mammootty, who saw the report on Mathrubhumi News, called up CP Trust chairman CP Salih, said a trust office-bearer Nisab.

They immediately contacted Mathrubhumi office for more information and distributed water.
