Malicious campaign against Sister Lucy started by priest; allegation arises
Kalpetta: Sister Lucy Kalappura has alleged that a malicious campaign has surfaced on social media against her. The CCTV visuals of two media persons arriving to meet her at the convent is used for the campaign to destroy her reputation. She alleged that a priest who is a member of the PR team of Mananthavady diocese is behind the rumours and that she would file a complaint with the police.
"Ever since I started supporting the protest by nuns, many negative campaigns are going on against me. The video is circulated from the fake ID of the priest. Though the congregation has ousted me, I will continue in the convent until the appeal is considered. If other Sisters in the convent cannot provide security, they should leave the convent," Sister Lucy said.
There was a complaint the other day that Sister Lucy was locked up in the convent. Later, police arrived to release her. After this incident, media persons arrived to get her response over the issue. These visuals are misinterpreted by the fake campaigners.
Sister Lucy was ousted from FCC Congregation a few days ago pointing out that she was leading a lifestyle that does not abide by the rules of the Congregation. It also demanded her to leave the convent in 10 days. But Sister Lucy respond that she has filed an appeal to Vatican.
