Malayalis hit back with trolls at Arnab Goswami's 'shameless' comment
New Delhi: Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami who came down at those trying to spread fake news on flood aid during the channel discussion has been subjected to the wrath of Malayalis in social media. Keralites have showered the Facebook and Twitter accounts of Republic TV and Arnab Goswami with ridiculing comments in protest.
The channel discussion was based on the controversies regarding the UAE’s financial aid of Rs 700 crore. Goswami while introducing the topic said those who criticise are anti-nationals, shameless and paid agents.
“This group is shameless, is the most shameless bunch of Indians I have ever seen, they have gone around spreading the lie religiously. I don’t know what they get for it. Whether they get paid for it? Do they get paid money for abusing their own country? Are they part of a group who are they funded by? Point is it is a conspiracy to malign India,” he stated during the discussion.
He asked the discussion panellists who were spreading lies. Within moments, the social media was overflowed with comments ridiculing and rebuking Goswami. The comments and trolls ranged from calling him a pet dog of BJP and Narendra Modi to challenging him to dare walk through the streets of Kerala. Notably, most of the comments are posted in Malayalam.
Actor Aju Varghese also posted a funny one liner comment warning Goswami about the trolls awaiting him.
Another interesting mock video showed a dupe of Goswami giving a fitting reply to him.
