Thiruvananthapuram: A Malayali youth who set off on his skating board from Kanyakumari to Kashmir died after being hit by a truck. Venjaramoodu native Anas Hajas (31) was killed in a road accident in Haryana on Tuesday morning. It is hinted that the accident took place in Panchkula.

Though he was rushed to the hospital by the locals, his life couldn’t be saved. His body is being kept at the mortuary of the Government Hospital in Kalka.

Anas started his solo journey from Kanyakumari on May 29 with the aim to create awareness about skateboarding. The accident happened just three days before he was to reach his destination.

Anas, who majored in computer science, has worked at Technopark and a private school in Bihar.
