Malayali doctor falls off train, dies, while returning from Haridwar
New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a Malayali doctor who had gone to Haridwar along with her family members, slipped from the moving train and died. Retired deputy engineer in the Water Irrigation department from Thrissur Rudrakumar’s wife Dr Tulasi Rudrakumar, 57, is the deceased.
The mishap occurred on Friday night at about 11. The couple were returning by the Dehradun-Delhi Shatabdi Express when the mishap occurred near the New Delhi railway station at Minto bridge. Family members said that the doctor was standing near the door when she slipped and fell off the train. Tulasi had visited the temple in Haridwar along with her husband, daughter Dr Karthika who stays in Gurugram, son-in-law Prashobh, grandchild Janvi and Prashob’s parents.
The body will be brought to her native place on Sunday morning and the last rites will be held in the evening at the ancestral place. Tulasi’s another daughter Karishma is an engineer in the US.
