Malayali CRPF jawan dies at Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Palakkad: A Malayali CRPF jawan died in a Maoist attack at Chhattisgarh on Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Palakkad- Dhoni native Mohammed Hakkim. The mortal remains will be brought to Coimbatore airport on Wednesday at 6.30 pm. Soon, the body will be carried to the residence in the Railway colony near Dhoni by 7.30 pm.

Hakkim joined Central Reserve Police Force in 2007. He was serving in the 202 cobra unit in Chhattisgarh as a havildar for two years. Hakkim was shot during a Maoist attack that broke out against the new CRPF camp constructed in the Sukma district in Chhattisgarh.

The attack was reported in the Chintagufa police station limit between 4.30 pm and 5 pm.
