Melattur (Malappuram): A woman along with a group of people was arrested for setting her son’s bike on fire.
Mulliakurrsi resident Nafeesa (48), her neighbour Mehboob (58), and hired goons Kaja Hussain and Abdul Nassar were arrested by a team led by Melattur Police Station House officer KR Ranjith.
A furious Nafeesa hatched a plan to set her son’s bike on fire after he questioned her relationship with another man, said police.
Mohammed Shafeeq’s (25) bike was set ablaze around 3 AM on Monday. He had parked his bike in front of his rented house.
The accused were produced before the Perinthalmanna court and were remanded.
