Thiruvananthapuram: Minister E P Jayarajan said that the employees who worked for 10 years cannot be terminated and that making them as permanent staff is a humanitarian act. The minister was responding to the protest by PSC rankholders.

How can we terminate staff who worked for 10-20 years in an institution? It is a humanitarian act. None of those posts come under the PSC. Let their families live peacefully. No party that is committed to the public can oppose such a move, Jayarajan said.

There was an attempt to mislead the PSC rankholders and they are protesting as a result of this. The LDF government is determined to give employment to all, the minister pointed out.
