At 6.30 pm, ‘Deeparadhana’ (offering of light) will be conducted to the deity.

Sabarimala: Makaravilakku will be celebrated on Friday at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam. The ‘Makara Jyothi’ will appear in the sky on Friday evening.

Sankrama Puja and ‘Abhishekam’ will be offered on Friday at 2.29 am. Kaushik, the ‘Kanni Ayyappan’ (new devotee) from the Kowdiar palace reached Sabarimala with the ‘Nei Thenga’ (ghee coconut) for the ghee offering (Neyyabhishekam) at the ‘Makarasankrama’ time.

At 6.30 pm, ‘Deeparadhana’ (offering of light) will be conducted to the deity. The ‘Thiruvabharanam’ will also be adorned. During this time, the ‘Makara Nakshatram’ will appear in the sky followed by the appearance of the ‘Makara Jyoti’ at the Ponnambalamedu.
