Thiruvananthapuram: At a time when the actress sexual assault case is at a crucial point, the government has removed S Sreejith from the top of Crime Branch. He will be the new transport commissioner.
Shaik Darvesh Saheb, who was heading the jail department, will replace Sreejith.
The Kerala HC had recently allowed the CB to continue the probe in to the sexual assault till May 30. Sreejith was coordinating the probe. He had earlier assured that the probe will be over within the allowed time period.
MR Ajith Kumar is the new vigilance director. Sudesh Kumar, the current director, will lead the jail department.
