Major reshuffle in Kerala bureaucracy; UV Jose to continue as Life Mission chief executive officer
Thiruvananthapuram: The state cabinet has decided on a major bureaucratic reshuffle by redesignating 10 IAS officials. With this, the IAS officials including UV Jose, Dr Asha Thomas, Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Dr B Ashok, CA Latha and Hari Kishore will have a change of responsibility.
Forest-wildlife department additional chief secretary Dr Asha Thomas will be appointed as Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department additional chief secretary. She will have the additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Rajesh Kumar Sinha, who is on central government’s deputation, will be appointed as Forest-Wildlife Department principal secretary. He will serve the additional charge of Industries (cashew) principal secretary.
Meanwhile, Supplyco chairman and managing director Dr B Ashok will be appointed as Road Safety Authority commissioner. Land Revenue Commissioner CA Latha will be the new Fisheries Department director.
Port Department secretary M Kaul will become the Home and Vigilance Department secretary. At the same time, he will continue his duties in the present post.
Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department secretary K Gopalakrishna Bhat will be appointed as the secretary of Sainik Welfare Directorate. He will have the additional charge of Printing and Stationery Department.
Local Self-Government Department special secretary K Biju will be appointed as Land Revenue Commissioner. He will also serve the additional charge of special secretary (land acquisition) of the Revenue Department.
Kudumbashree executive director Hari Kishore will take additional charges of Information and Public Relations Department director.
Fisheries director MG Rajamanikyam will be appointed as the new KSIDC Managing Director.
Information and Public Relations Department director UV Jose will be appointed as Local Self-Government additional secretary. He will continue to serve the additional charge of Life Mission chief executive officer.
