Mannarkkad: The final hearing in the Attappady Madhu murder has been completed and the verdict date will be declared on March 18.

A detailed hearing of the plaintiffs and defendants took place in the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Special Court in Mannarkkad.

The hearing of the defendants came to a close around 6 pm on Friday.

Madhu was allegedly beaten to death by a mob at Attappady on February 22, 2018. He was tied up and beaten by a mob, who caught him from a nearby forest, accusing him of serial thefts.

The prosecution examined a total of 127 witnesses, while the defendant’s side had six.
