Palakkad: In the Attapadi tribal youth lynching case, a magisterial report has come out now. The Magisterial report on the death of Madhu who turned victim of the mob lynching cited that the tribal youth did not die of custodial torture. The report dismissed the allegations of custodial death and pointed out that Madhu was not manhandled in police custody.

“ Madhu was very weak while getting in the police jeep from the place where he was attacked by a mob. Three policemen took him to a hospital at Agaly,” reads the report.

Former Mannarkkad first-class judicial magistrate Ramesh and former Ottappalam sub-collector Jeromic George prepared the magisterial report. The court will record the statement of both.

During the hearing in the case, the prosecution argued that the report on the magisterial investigation into the case was not included in the case file and demanded the court take action to include the same. Following this, the magisterial report on the tribal youth’s death was produced before the court.
