Kochi: Former IT secretary M. Sivasankar has sought legal advice in the gold smuggling case. He held discussions with an advocate here.

The IAS officer has been advised to wait for the follow up actions by CBI in the Life Mission case and customs in the gold smuggling case. He has decided not to approach the High Court at the moment.

Sivasankar was summoned by customs for interrogation on Tuesday. Later, the officials said that he can appear for questioning after they have collected evidence. It is in this situation that Sivasankar sought legal advice.

The IAS officer has decided to wait and see how the CBI investigation in the Life Mission case and the customs probe in the gold smuggling case is progressing before approaching the HC.
