Kochi: Kerala High Court stated that M Sivasankar did not interfere in the appointment of top level IT officials.

The High Court registrar clarified through a press release that the appointment was done under the supervision of the Chief Justice and that there will not be any investigation into the appointment of officials.

Controversy erupted in the past few days in connection with the appointment of a high level IT group in the High Court. It was in this context that the High Court registrar issued the press release.

Apart from pointing out that Sivasankar did not interfere in the appointment at any stage, the press release also stated that there was no attempt to avoid the National Informatic Centre. The appointments were made with the knowledge of the Chief Justice. It was also mentioned in the release that there will not be any investigation against the officials who have been appointed.

As per news reports, M Sivasankar had allegedly suggested that temporary staff should be employed in the high level IT group of the High Court as the technologies keep changing on a daily basis.
