Thiruvananthapuram: MLA O Rajagopal stated that BJP will win the Thiruvananthapuram corporation in the LSG poll and that it will influence the Assembly election next year.

He also said that the disputes within BJP is natural as it is a large organisation. "Nobody can keep everyone happy. Shobha Surendran’s issue with the party leadership is not going to affect the voters. Such frustrations are natural in a large party, the senior BJP leader said.

Rajagopal stated that LSG poll results will be crucial for the BJP in the upcoming Assembly election. That is why the party is using all its might for this election. Along with party workers, neutral voters also believe that BJP should win Thiruvananthapuram corporation this year. The party is confident of its win, he said.

The senior BJP leader also responded to the controversy surrounding Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology in Thiruvananthapuram. Rajagopal said that people outside of politics respect MS Golwalkar. People who know him are happy with this decision.

O Rajagopal stated that he will listen to his party on whether to contest the next election even though he is not interested in it. There are several youngsters in the party. They should get the chance, he added.
