LSD stamps seized from beauty parlour owner in Chalakudy; excise launches probe

Thrissur: The excise department has launched an extensive probe into an incident of seizing synthetic drugs from a beauty parlour owner in Chalakudy.

Last day, Sheela Sunny (51), owner of 'She Style' beauty parlour in Chalakudy, was arrested for possessing 12 LSD stamps worth Rs 60,000. According to excise officials, Sheela Sunny carried out her illicit drug business using the shop. Based on intelligence reports, excise officials were monitoring tattoo shops and beauty parlours.

The excise team tasked with observing Sheela's beauty parlour found some people spending a significant amount of time in the shop. In a raid that followed, excise officials found 12 LSD stamps hidden inside her scooter and bag.
