Heavy rain predicted in 5 districts in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in Kerala till Sunday with the cyclonic formation in the Bay of Bengal. It has been predicted that the low pressure which is near Sri Lanka is expected to reach the Kerala coast within two days.

Orange alert was sounded in six districts on Friday. IMD has given a warning to fishermen not to venture into the sea till October 31.

Yellow alert

Friday: Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad

Saturday: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad

Sunday: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad
