Low pressure: Rain intensifies again in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: The meteorological department has predicted heavy rain in some districts in Kerala as a depression has been formed on the Odisha coast in Bay of Bengal. An yellow alert has been sounded in various districts till Friday. Rainfall upto 7-11 cm is likely in these places within 24 hours.
The low pressure area existing on Kerala-Karnataka coast also will cause heavy rain. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea on Tuesday as gusty wind is likely in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karnataka coast.
Districts where yellow alert is issued:
Tuesday - Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod
Wednesday - Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod
Thursday - Kozhikode, Kannur
Friday - Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod
