Lottery sales to resume in state on Thursday


The distributors have informed that all tickets cannot be sold as the draws were postponed many times.

Thiruvananthapuram: The sale of lottery tickets which was stopped during the COVID lockdown will resume on Thursday. Lottery selling is not allowed on Sunday which is complete lockdown day and in containment zones.

Eight tickets due for draws are sold currently. When the distributors arrive at lottery offices, they should avoid crowd. Distribution can be scheduled according to the number of agencies. Lottery offices will not function on Saturday, but agents and sellers can sell lotteries.

The distributors have informed that all tickets cannot be sold as the draws were postponed many times. 30 percent of Pournami, Sthree Sakthi and Win Win lottery tickets will be taken back. Only booklets containing 25 tickets will be taken back, not single tickets.

The tickets should be returned 48 hours before the draw. The agents who bought less than 150 tickets should give back all of them, if necessary. But they will be taken back only as booklets.
