Sabarimala temple closes after pilgrimage season

Sabarimala: The doors of the Sabarimala temple were closed with the conclusion of the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. The next opening of the temple doors will be on February 12 during Kumbha month (a month as per Malayalam calendar) poojas. The temple will open at 5:30 PM on that day.

Meanwhile after the ‘Ganapathi Homam’ on Thursday morning, the head of the royal family Moolam Thirunnal Shankar Varma paid a visit to the Lord Ayyappa temple. The return journey carrying the ‘Thiruvabharanam’ will reach Pandalam temple on Sunday morning.
