Alappuzha: The local bodies have finally decided to cut down the number of public water taps in the state owing to the financial crisis and mounting water bills in recent years.
The increase in household connections has made many public water taps obsolete.
Kerala Water Authority (KWA) will join hands with local body authorities to identify and disband unused and unnecessary water taps across the state.
