Load test should be conducted before demolishing Palarivattom flyover: High Court
Kochi: The state government faced a setback from the High Court in connection with the demolition of Palarivattom flyover. The High Court ruled that the government must submit a load test report of the flyover before the demolition. The load test has to be conducted within 3 months.
The Court also said that RDS company, which built the flyover, should take the complete expenses of the test. The government can decide on the company for the load test.
These instructions were put forward by the Court while considering the petitions filed challenging the demolition of the flyover. In total, 5 petitions were filed in the court in connection with this.
The government told the court that the decision to demolish it was taken after an expert group examined it.
