Load shedding likely to start from Aug 16 in case of insufficient rainfall
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has informed that load shedding will be implemented from August 16 in case of insufficient rainfall in the state. This will be finalised at the KSEB board meeting to be held on August 16.
Earlier, KSEB had informed that there is no need for load shedding till August 31. However, sufficient rainfall did not occur during the southwest monsoon.
If adequate amount of rainfall is received before August 16, load shedding may not be necessary. The meeting will take a decision after considering these matters.
