Kozhikode: Varghese George, the LJD national general secretary, on Tuesday, said that the party is looking forward to contesting the upcoming election to the Rajya Sabha. He said the seat currently belongs to LJD, and it was up to the LDF to decide.
Varghese George said in a press conference in Kozhikode that the state leadership meeting convened today had decided to demand the Rajya Sabha seat. He added that the party is hoping that LDF would consider their demand.
Elections have been announced for the three vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Kerala. MV Shreyams Kumar, AK Antony, K Somaprasad's terms end on April 2. The election will be held on March 31.
