Ramesh Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that he will disclose the list of the voters who have multiple votes through the website www.operationtwins.com on Wednesday night at 9 pm.
Chennithala added that he did not understand why the Election Commission directed rigged voters to file an affidavit at the polling booth and that he felt this as a joke only. Those who have double votes would not admit it, he said.
The Election Commission said that there are only 38,000 double votes. But this is not true. They have not carried out inspections properly. The EC asked Booth Level Officers (BLO) to check double votes. But BLOs know the details in their booths only, Chennithala made it clear.
"I have found 4,34,000 double votes. There are more fake voters. I will release the list through the website www.operationtwins.com. All political parties can check this and bring it to the attention of Election Commission. My colleagues and I found this through detailed study," Chennithala said.
The Kerala high court directed that action should be taken to ensure that those who have multiple votes are casting only one vote during the election. The court also accepted the guideline of the Election Commission. The court issued the directive in connection with the petition filed by Ramesh Chennithala requesting to put an end to rigged votes.
