Liquor sale in Kerala to resume at 9 am on Thursday: Minister T. P. Ramakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Minister for Excise and Labour T. P. Ramakrishnan said that the sale of liquor in the state will resume at 9 am on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, the Excise Minister said the app will be available in Google Play store from 5 pm on Wednesday.
Token can be availed from 6 am to 10 pm. However, sales will be held from 9 am to 5 pm, the minister explained.
Only those with tokens will be allowed to buy liquor and only 5 persons will be allowed in the queue at a time. A customer can avail a token once in four days.
All coronavirus protocol mandated by the health department must be followed. Facilities for customers to wash their hands will be arranged at every outlet, he added.
Liquor will be sold through Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) outlets, 576 bars and 291 beer parlours across the state.
