Liquor price in Mahe to be on par with Kerala

Kannur: Authorities have informed that the liquor price in Mahe will be on par with the price prevailing in Kerala for the next three months. The decision has been taken to avoid the situation where large crowd from Kerala throng the liquor shops in Mahe amid coronavirus pandemic.

However, the increase in price will not affect those brands that are not sold in Kerala.

The liquor shops in Mahe will open only when those in Kerala opens. Liquor will be sold as parcel.

Meanwhile, the criteria that only those from Puducherry with valid Aadhaar number can buy liquor, has been dropped. Now, anyone can buy liquor from Mahe adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.
