Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister Antony Raju on Saturday said that Bevco outlets will be opened at KSRTC bus stands in the state.

The decision comes in the backdrop of the comment of the Kerala High Court that better facilities should be provided for liquor customers.

Many bus stands in the state have unused shop spaces. KSRTC hopes to get an additional income from the rent as well as more customers for their buses.

The Minister said action will be taken to ensure that the KSRTC workers do not misuse the facility. Travellers will also not be troubled by it, Raju assured.
