Limca record holder in car ride killed in two-wheeler accident
Chengannur: Vinu Kurian Jacob (25) from Kuttur, who had set a national record for covering maximum distance in the shortest time in a car, was killed in a two-wheeler accident at Chengannur.
He was pursuing studies in quality control in Thiruvananthapuram after obtaning a degree in engineering.
His two-wheeler crashed into a tourist bus on Wednesday at 12.30 am near Puthanveetippadi railway bridge. The two-wheeler has been completely damaged.
His body was taken to Chengannur District hospital for post-mortem.
He holds a National Record with the Limca Book of Records for the fastest drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari by covering 3,888 kilometres. His brother Joe Jacob and relative Josin Baby were accompanied him to pursue their dream of smashing the earlier record of 57 hours and 20 minutes. The team has achieved the record in fastest car driving after covering 13 states within 2 days and 5 hours.
His father Jacob Kurian is a businessman and mother Mariyamma is a teacher in Pandisserry LP School. He has two brothers namely Joe Jacob and Chris Jacob.
