Life Mission project: K Surendran demands investigation into commission paid
Kozhikode: BJP state president, K Surendran, demanded that the state government should investigate the corruption in connection with Life Mission project. He said that the government should clarify on who acted as the middlemen in the project and about the people who secured commission for the project. Surendran was speaking at a virtual press meeting.
He said that as per reports, more than Rs 4.5 crore was given as commission. That means only Rs. 15.5 crores was available for the project which is estimated of Rs 20 crore. Spending such a huge amount of money as commission for a project carried out by the state government has to be investigated, he added.
Why is the government not investigating on the commission paid? Swapna Suresh revealed that she received Rs 1 crore as commission for the project. To whom was the rest of the money given? That has to be investigated, K Surendran demanded alleging that the rest of the commission amount was given to a person linked to Chief Minister.
Surendran also demanded an official carification from the government in this issue.
He claimed that the details about various foreign volunteer groups, which are coming out, are shocking.
