Kottayam: Jose K. Mani termed the Election Commission granting the two-leaves symbol to his faction of Kerala congress as a verdict against efforts against the truth.

He was speaking to the media in Pala on Friday.

“No matter how hard you try to hide the truth with lies, it will come out one day. This has proved the power of K. M. Mani’s soul,” Jose K. Mani said.

Earlier, the central election commission had granted the name Kerala Congress (M) and two leaves symbol to Jose K. Mani faction. However, P. J. Joseph approached the HC questioning the decision. But the HC upheld the EC decision.

The HC issued the verdict stating that it will not intervene in the powers of EC. The HC verdict approved the majority verdict of the Election Commission.

Following P. J. Joseph’s petition, the HC had initially frozen the two-leaves symbol. Later, the Ec granted ‘Chenda’ symbol for Joseph faction and ‘table fan’ symbol for Jose K. Mani faction in the LSG polls.
