Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala stated that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has been removed from campaigning for the LSG Polls as CPM fears backlash from the public.

The Opposition leader was speaking at a virtual rally organized by UDF in connection with the LSG Polls.

He said that LDF is in a position where they can't seek votes by using Pinarayi Vijayan’s name. LDF and CPM have realised that the Chief Minister and the government are extremely unpopular among the public.

The Chief Minister’s office has become the hub for gold smugglers and fraudsters. The people in this state are waiting for the current government and Chief Minister to step down. Chennithala also said that the name of a leader, who was closely associated with Swapna Suresh, will be revealed within a few days.

More than 3 lakh people were given jobs via back door entry under this government. This is one of the biggest scams of the LDF government. Jobs were offered to the children and relatives of party leaders.

Corruption was carried out in the name of development in the state. The state is ruled by people who took commission even for the food kits that were distributed. Ramesh Chennithala also added that people in this state want to throw this government out of power and that it will be reflected in the LSG polls as well.
