Kochi: Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas said that it was up to the public to evaluate whether it was right on the part of former DGP R Sreelekha to make a statement on a case still proceeding in the court. Her remark came from the backdrop of the former DGP questioning and contesting findings against actor Dileep in the actress attack case of 2017.
Uma Thomas told the media that she refused to discuss further the case since it is under the court's consideration.

She questioned how much time would have taken if a commoner was involved in the case. She also reiterated that she stands with the survivor in case.
"PT Thomas played a crucial part in making sure that the probe into the case is moving forward in the right direction. If he hadn't intervened in the case, the incident wouldn't have even come out," she said.
Earlier, R Sreelekha said there was no evidence in the actress attack case against Dileep. She also alleged there was a conspiracy behind the case.
