Thiruvananthapuram: State Police Chief Loknath Behera has issued safety guidelines in connection with the public exams of classes 10 and 12 which started on Tuesday.

The vehicles carrying students can enter the school compound. If any school does not have facility for this, the vehicle can be parked 100 meters away from the gate and the students should be taken to the exam hall in lines maintaining social distancing.

The students who arrive in other vehicles should alight 100 meters away from the gate and walk to the exam hall. The driver or parents who accompanied the students cannot enter the school. They should return home instead of waiting till the exam time finishes.

The parents should come back to the school only when exams are completed. This helps to avoid crowding in front of the school and to maintain social distancing. Legal action will be taken against those who violate this directions.

The police requested the school authorities not to allow students exit the classrooms at a time in order to avoid crowd. They should be asked to go out in lines maintaining social distance.
