Left Record; Captain all set to lead Kerala for 2nd term
Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF’s election campaign with a slogan ‘LDF is certain’ has been accepted by the people and it reflected in the assembly election results. The people trusted Pinarayi Vijayan, the Captain.
The local body election results was a semi-final that hinted at victory ahead. Pinarayi Vijayan who is the hero of CPM has obtained a stunning victory in the final round. Thus he could fulfill the dream of continuity of government which could not be realised by EMS or Karunakaran.
When the initial trends of assembly election results are out, LDF is gaining an unbreakable lead. The ruling front is leading in over 90 seats ensuring a second term in Kerala assembly.
As per latest results, LDF is leading in 9 out of 11 seats in Kannur, 13 out of 14 in Thiruvananthapuram, 9 out of 11 in Kollam, 8 out of 9 in Alappuzha, 10 out of 12 in Palakkad and 12 out of 13 in Thrissur. UDF is leading only in Ernakulam, Wayanad and Malappuram districts.
LDF faced the assembly polls with the confidence of a huge victory in local body polls. The welfare activities including free food kit and the strong leadership of Pinarayi Vijayan also helped in their triumph.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is leading in Dharmadom constituency by over 13,000 votes. Health minister K K Shailaja is leading in Mattannur by 23,515 votes and Minister of Archaeology and Port Kadannappally Ramachandran by 3051 votes in Kannur.
