Thiruvananthapuram: The Motor Vehicle Department has decided to conduct the test for learner's driving licence in its offices.

Following the COVID outbreak, the department had arranged a system allowing the applicants to take the test online from anywhere. Now, the department has decided to abandon this system after reports claimed widespread fraud.

The applicants who have booked the dates starting from Monday, August 22 should arrive at the respective offices for appearing in the test.

The transport commissioner informed that an entrepreneurs' meeting will be held at 11 am on August 25 at the transport commissionerate in Thiruvananthapuram. The meeting will focus on introducing accredited driving training centres and automated testing stations.
