Thiruvananthapuram: In a surprising remark that sets aside political differences, LDF Convener EP Jayarajan praised former opposition leader of Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala by calling him an "ideal leader."
The CPM leader issued the remark while attending a book launch event of Chennithala. Leaders Chennithala, MM Hassan, VM Sudheeran and Governor Arif Mohammed Khan were present at the event in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.

Jayarajan pointed out that a leader of Chennithala's stature and youthfulness should not pursue a political career in the state. He conveyed his good wishes by saying that the Congress leader could be able to work for Congress in Delhi.
VM Sudheeran also praised Chennithala for his appeal as a national leader. He added that it is up to Chennithala to decide whether to stay in Thiruvananthapuram or Delhi.
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan also praised UDF and LDF leaders for setting aside political differences and attending an event together.
