LDF will get second term with 80-100 seats: CPM state secretariat
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretariat has examined the chances of a second term for LDF government in Kerala. LDF is likely to get 80 to 100 seats. Compared to the last polls, the front will win 15-20 additional seats.
The state secretariat also observed that voters in the constituencies which had witnessed a tough battle favoured LDF.
BJP voters would have cross voted for UDF. But BJP has faced set back in many places.
It is for the first time, CPM is summoning a meeting of the complete leadership after the assembly polls. The meeting reviewed the election campaigns and scope in various constituencies. The party also examined the chances of a second term in the current situation in each constituency.
In the last phase of the campaign, election rallies led by Congress' Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi benefited UDF to woo voters. But this will not help UDF to seize power in Kerala, assessed CPM.
