Kozhikode: Metro Man E Sreedharan stated that LDF government showed great injustice to devotees in the case related to Sabarimala temple. He stated that the government will have to face its repercussions. The Hindu community turned against LDF because of the stance taken on Sabarimala issue, he said.
When asked what he will contribute to the public after entering politics, he responded that he will offer a corruption-free government. Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, he stated that all projects will be completed on time without giving way to any corruption allegation.
“BJP members love the country. Patriotism is not communalism. Retired Justice Thomas once said that after the army, it is RSS that has nationalism. Their ideology itself is nationalism and how can it be communalism,” he asked.
Sreedharan also stated that LDF and UDF were obsequious towards minorities. That is the reason why we are in the present state. They only think of votes and not how to better the state, he added.
Stating that his age is not ideal to enter politics, the Metro Man however added, “if not now, when? This is a great opportunity to do some good."
“I have received no offers from BJP and I didn’t ask for any. I will not receive anything undeserving. I will not accept Governor post. Apart from a comfortable stay at Raj Bhavan, nothing can be done for the state in that post. Staying at home is better than that in many ways,” he further added.
