Thiruvananthapuram: Former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the LDF government had to depend on Victers channel, which they once opposed, to start the academic year . Victers channel was started by UDF government in 2005 by discarding the protest raised by the Left front. Victers is one of the most importatnt educational channels today.
LDF had protested when IT was made part of the syllabus for SSLC and aso when State Institute for Education was elevated to State Institute for Educaton Technology.
The online channel was interpreted as a ploy to get rid of teachers, Oomen Chandy said.
