Thiruvananthapuram: BJP Kerala state president, K Surendran, alleged that LDF blackmailed Jose K Mani using corruption cases in order to make him change alliance.
Surendran alleged that LDF used a corruption case related to a factory and another one related to marketing federation along with the bar bribery scam to blackmail Kerala Congress (M).
Pinarayi Vijayan had staged protests alleging that KM Mani had a cash counting machine at his home. Surendran asked whether Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed Kerala Congress (M) to LDF because he wanted that cash counting machine.
Now, the people are asking when LDF would welcome Muslim League to their fold by sabotaging all corruption cases against them including the Palarivattom flyover scam. Surendran also said that the bar bribery scam cannot be erased easily as it is a huge corruption case that has been recorded in Assembly documents.
The ruling party can align with anyone politically. However, corruption cases should not be sabotaged, K Surendran said. The BJP leader said that Congress has become weak in central Kerala after Kerala Congress joined LDF. Surendran added that now the political contest will be between NDA and LDF in this region.
