LDF 82-85, UDF 75-80 and NDA 5; No front expects sweeping victory
Thiruvananthapuram: Though all the three political fronts expect victory in the April 6 Assembly elections, none of the leaders have the confidence to confirm a sweeping victory. Most of the leaders have alleged vote deals or cross voting.
82-85 seats for LDF
The Left front is confident of continuing government and expects 82-85 seats. The vote leak in few constituencies is troubling the LDF. Many leaders are anxious whether the Hindu votes in the party had gone for BJP.
75-80 seats for UDF
The UDF expects clear-cut victory in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha districts and Malabar areas. The front is happy that there was no issues within the party during election which was seen as a do or die battle for them. Also the successful blocking of double votes also raised their confidence. UDF expects to win 75 to 80 seats in the polls.
NDA expects 5 seats
Though no clarification is given, NDA leaders stated that the front will gain 35 to 40 seats in the state. However, they are sure of victory in 5 seats. NDA has alleged CPM-Congress deal in constituencies were they have influence. BJP believes they will emerge as a crucial factor after this Assembly elections in Kerala.
