Late CPM leader P K Kunjananthan's name in voters' list; controversy erupts


Kunjananthan died in June 2020. However, his name is still included in the voters’ list.

Kannur: The name of the late CPM leader P K Kunjananthan has not been removed from the voters’ list, it has come to light. P K Kunjananthan has been included in the voters’ list of booth number 75 in Koothuparamba constituency.

The complaint in this regard was filed by a Youth Congress worker in Koothuparamba. Kunjananthan died in June 2020. However, his name is still included in the voters’ list. Following this, the Youth Congress worker filed the complaint.

But the complainant received a response from the authorities that Kunjananthan was found to be alive during the field verification and that the complaint is rejected. The complainant received the response on March 4, 2021.
