Lady officers to take charge of police stations in Kerala on Women’s Day
Thiruvananthapuram: The State Police Chief Loknath Behera has directed that lady sub inspectors should be given the charge of SHO (Station House Officer) in maximum police stations on International Women’s Day which falls on March 8, as part of promoting women empowerment.
The lady police officers will be receiving complaints in stations and taking further actions on them on women’s day. The District Police Chiefs are directed to reorganize the lady inspectors and lady sub inspectors in the district, for assigning station duties on March 8.
Also direction has been given to receive complaints and to meet other legal requirements of the public in the stations where service of lady inspectors or lady sub inspectors is not available. The outline of the reorganization has to be sent to the police headquarters within March 5.
