Though theatres remained closed due to the pandemic, the film field is not running at loss, said Ladder chairman CN Vijayakrishnan. 504-seated five multiplex theatres are operating in Indian Mall at Manjeri under the ownership of Ladder. The construction of three multiplex theatres, each with 920 seats has been completed in Ottapalam. Apart from this, applications to set up four multiplex theatres in Kayamkulam and Kozhikode have been submitted to the concerned departments.

The chairman informed that Ladder is expecting revenue from ticket collection, OTT, overseas rights, DTH, cable TV and internet audio rights also. The Ladder now plans to produce movies with social commitment under a limited budget.
